CFS falls to Whitefield Academy in KCAC championship

Christian Fellowship played in the championship game of the Kentucky Christian Athletic Conference (KCAC) Tournament on Saturday, advancing following a 51-10 win over Highlands Latin. Despite 42 combined points from Gracie Howard and Lillian Burnett, the Lady Eagles fell in the title game 74-62 to Whitefield Academy.

Whitefield Academy (16-5), 7th Region All “A” Classic champions, advanced with a 60-4 win over Heritage Christian. All four of Whitefield’s scorers finished in double figures led by junior Camryn Poole with 26 points. The Lady Eagles 62 points were the most scored against the Lady Wildcats this season.

Howard and Burnett were selected to the KCAC All-Tournament Team for their play. Howard scored a combined 36 points and Burnett 30.

CFS (13-4) will play their second district game of the season on Tuesday at Marshall County (11-4).
