Mr. Earl Crump, age 88 of Hardin, KY, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, his home.
Born Monday, June 20, 1927 in Golden Pond, KY, between the rivers, he was the son of the late Monroe Crump and the late Beatrice (McCloud) Crump. He was a heavy equipment operator and was the owner of the Aurora Ashland Service Station, a 52 year member of the Alford-Hardin 925 Masonic Lodge. Mr. Crump attended the Ferguson Spring Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ella Mae (Jones) Crump of Hardin, KY, his sister, Masel Crump of OK. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raybon Crump and Hale Crump, one sister, Charlene Crump.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Rev. Elijah Balentine will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Ferguson Springs Cemetery, Aurora, KY. Pallbearers will be: Larry Chambers, Kenneth Ahart, Jay Rogers, Jim Allen, David Balentine, Earl Birdsong and James Flood. Masonic rites will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. The public is invited to attend. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Ferguson Springs Cemetery Fund, 5402 Aurora Highway, Hardin, KY 42048.
