Blair Travis with the City of Calvert joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. This year is the Sesquicentennial (150 year) Celebration and lots of events are planned throughout the year. The city-wide yard sale will be held June 3, 4 & 5 with the deadline to register May 24th. Paint Night in the Park will be June 8th at Old Park. Cost is $10 and includes your canvas and paint. It begins at 6 pm. and you visit the City of Calvert Face Book page to sign up. Some of the specific events for the Sesquicentennial Celebration include the Sesquicentennial Ball, a World Class Beard Contest, Old Fashioned Fiddler’s Contest, Ice Cream Social, Corn Hole Tournament, Golf Scramble and more.
