Blenda “Sudie” McFarland, 78, of Marshall County, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Sudie was born on March 19, 1942 in Marshall County, KY to the late Louie and Lena Moore Greer. Sudie spent a portion of her life being a stay at home mother and raising her four children. Later in life, her caring and nurturing personality led her to become a private sitter which allowed her to spend her time caring for others who were in need. When she wasn’t caring for others, she enjoyed tending to her flowers, reading, crocheting, and working on the occasional word puzzle book. She also loved to travel, go camping, and especially spend time going to the lake with her friends and family. More than anything else, she loved to spend her time playing with all of her grandkids and family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Trina Crawford (Chris) of Mayfield, KY, and Tamra McFarland of Calvert City, KY; three grandchildren, Timothy McFarland, Kasey Crawford, and Blake Crawford; and 4 great grandchildren, Michael McFarland, Abigail McFarland, Westin Smith, and Brilee Damron.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Tony and Timmy McFarland; two sisters, Betty Jo Stafford and Dottie Stevenson; three brothers, Rudy Greer, Leland Greer, and Cletus Greer; and her parents.
