PADUCAH, Ky. (April 14, 2020) — Canadian National Railroad (CNRR) plans to close a section of KY 80 at Arlington in Carlisle County on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
KY 80 will be closed at mile point 2.9 to allow rail crossing work. This closure of KY 80 is immediately west of the U.S. 51/KY 80 intersection in Arlington.
KY 80 will close at this site promptly at 8 a.m., CDT, on Wednesday. The roadway is expected to reopen at this site by about 3:30 p.m., Wednesday.
There will be no marked detour.
Passenger vehicles may self-detour via Railroad Street, KY 877, and U.S. 51. Trucks should seek an appropriate state route.
CNRR and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will attempt to provide timely notice should KY 80 open to traffic earlier than expected.
