Britney Heath with the Marshall County Parks Department joined WCBL’s Cindy Riley recently on Coffee Call. Baseball and softball sign-ups for children ages seven and up will be held Saturday, March 7th from 8th until noon at Mike Miller Park in Draffenville. Heath said she is hopeful that groundbreaking can begin soon on the CFSB Field of Dreams Miracle League Park of western Kentucky, a specially made field that will allow those with handicaps a chance to play baseball. She says they have reached close to half of the needed one million dollars to build the park. And Mike Miller Park is also a host the the MLB Junior Home Run Derby and Pitch, Hit and Run competition, and there’s no cost to sign up.
