June Hinkle, age 79, of Bardwell, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at her residence.
June was born in Arlington on September 20, 1940 to the late Joe and Elanor Jones Hogancamp. She was a member of Bardwell Baptist Church. June’s family remembers her as being a fighter and a true warrior, battling cancer in 1967 alongside other chronic illnesses during her lifetime. This will to fight was instilled in all the children in her life. June was influential in raising not only… her daughter, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. She was a devoted grandmother and loved her family with everything she had. When June wasn’t helping her family and friends, she loved to relax and watch her favorite TV programs, “The Young and The Restless” and “Wheel of Fortune”.
June is survived by one daughter, Robin Garnett of Bardwell; one sister, Dorothy Evans and husband, Walter of Bardwell; one brother, Ronnie Joe Hogancamp of Bardwell; one granddaughter, Audrey Huffman and husband, Brad of Bardwell; three great-grandchildren, Ellis Garnett, Max Garnett and Maggie Huffman as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hinkle; one grandson, Adam Garnett and her parents.
Funeral services for June will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the funeral home.
