Paving along KY 139/Jefferson Street in Cadiz starting this week

PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept. 23, 2019) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along KY 139/Jefferson Street in Cadiz starting this week.

Milling and paving along KY 139/Jefferson Street runs from the U.S. 68-Business/Main Street intersection at mile point 16.7 in Cadiz extending northward to the KY 124/Cerulean Road intersection at mile point 17.9, a distance of about 1.19 miles.

Milling is expected early this week with paving expected to follow around Friday or Monday.

Rogers Group, Inc, is the prime contractor on this $146,689 highway improvement project.  The work is expected to take about 3 to 4 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.  Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic.
