Mrs. Janet L. Manning, age 72, of Murray, Kentucky died at 1:28pm Saturday, October 27, 2018 in an automobile accident in Alabaster, Alabama.
Mrs. Manning was born July 6, 1946 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Ortis and Dorothy Futrell Guthrie. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dale Guthrie. She was a 1964 graduate of Murray High School and attended Murray State University. She worked as the Manager of the Murray State University Credit Union. She enjoyed camping, boating and cooking for her grandboys.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Manning, to whom she married on February 11, 1988; four children, Derek Lamb, Murray, Michael Manning (Gidget), Murray, Melissa Johnson (Tim), Murray, and Amanda Goodwin (Mike), Murray; brother, Don Guthrie (Diane), Hardin; sister in law, Becky Guthrie, St. Louis, MO; nine grandchildren, Courtney Young, Marcus Manning, Nick Manning, Ryan Johnson, Sammy Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Reaghan Peeler (Jake), Makana Gifford, and Aiden Goodwin; two great grandchildren, Carson Young and Karlee Moffit.
The funeral service will be at 11:00am Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the
Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with Rev. Glynn Orr officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery and friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Friday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home.
