A tradition that’s in its 19th year, the Kenlake State Park Hot August Blues in Aurora, begins Thursday on the lawn of Kenlake State Park Lodge. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy Lew Jetton and 61 South at 6:00 pm. They will be joined by some of the areas top musicians and singers.
Friday, the festival moves to the amphitheater and the gates open at 3:00 pm. Friday’s line up includes The Sullivan Three, Woody Pines, Blue Mother Tupelo and Albert Castiglia.
The festival continues Saturday with gates opening at 10:00 am and music starting at noon. Saturday’s line up includes The Watson Brothers, Soul Dog, Microwave Dave & the Nukes, Ivas John, Miranda Louise, Big Mike Griffin and Larry McCray.
Food will be available from Tilford’s Q Crew, Orleans Catering, Uncle Ted’s Just Dang Good Food and Dippin’ Dots. Tickets are available at the Kenlake State Park Lodge, Cellar Door Wine & Spirits in Benton, Draffenville and Murray, Murray Transit, Music One in Murray, The Moonshine Company in Paducah or at the gate.
