Mr. Charles West, age 89 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at his home. He was a member of Calvert City First United Methodist Church and was a retired Instrument Engineer. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Born Wednesday, October 17, 1928 in Steward County, TN, he was the son of the late Charles Henry West and the late Julia (Satterwhite) West.
Surviving are son, Clay West, wife Patricia of Calvert City, KY, daughters, Susan Stone, husband Jeff of Benton, KY and Sandy Grogan, husband Tom of Ridgeland, MS, brother, Ray West of New Braunfels, TX, sister, Henrietta Watkins of Puryear, TN; and 5 grandchildren, Callie Duke of Benton, KY, Weston Duke of Benton, KY, Kaitlyn
West of Nashville, TN, Charlie Grogan of Ridgeland, MS, and Allison Grogan of Ridgeland, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 54 years, Martha Scott West, and son, Kevin Scott West.
A Graveside Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Murray City Cemetery with Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating.
Interment with Military Rites will follow in Murray City Cemetery, Murray, KY.
No public visitation is scheduled.
