Riley throws no-hitter in Marshals 14-0 win over Murray

Jordan Riley pitched a no-hitter in the Marshals 14-0 five inning district win over Murray.

The Marshals took care of business in five innings against Murray, winning 14-0 on 14 hits.  Jordan Riley pitched the no-hitter while striking out five. Leading hitters were Cole Griggs with a double and three RBI’s, Dalton Andersson 3 for 4 with a double and RBI, Skyler Brown hit a triple with an RBI, Tyler Belcher had a double and RBI and Jackson Beal was 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI’s.

Austin Stockdale connects for a hit that brought in two runs for the Marshals.

The Marshals put up three runs in the first inning on a double by Griggs, double by Andersson and triple from Brown. They added three more runs in the second inning on a double by Beal, Griggs ground out that brought in Beal and Ty Buchmeier scored on a passed ball by the catcher for a 6-0 lead.

The Marshals put the game away with an 8-run fourth inning, scoring on a double by Belcher, 2-run single by Austin Stockdale, single by Beal, bases loaded walk from Griggs and error on fly ball by Andersson that brought in three runs for the 14-0 win.

The two teams will meet again on Thursday at Murray.
