Holly Morgan Calhoun, age 46, of Brentwood, TN, died at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN on Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Holly was formerly of Benton, KY and was a 1989 graduate of Marshall County High School and a 1994 graduate of Murray State University with a degree in interior design. She was employed in the automotive industry for 17 years, 5 at Toyota and 12 at General Motors as a quality engineer. She was currently employed by Houzz in Nashville.
Holly was a longtime member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Benton, KY and was currently a member of Church of the City in Franklin, TN.
She will be remembered by her friendliness, kind spirit and generosity. She enjoyed tennis, attending sporting events, and listening to country music. Holly loved volunteering at Vanderbilt Hospital, where she passed out snacks and comforted families in the waiting rooms. She was a member of the Nashville Junior League and Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
Holly is survived by her husband, John Calhoun and two children, Evelyn Bellew Calhoun, 16, and Evan Ross Calhoun, 9, of Brentwood, TN. She is also survived by her parents, Darrel and Lorna Morgan, and one sister, Hope Morgan Vaughn, husband Tim of Benton, KY. She also has several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bathel and Avalou Morgan and Harmon and Sarah Ross.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Brother Mark Thweatt will officiate. Will Ross and Judy Byrd Stephens will also speak.
Burial will follow the service at the Brewers Cemetery in Marshall County.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
