MCHS Speech Team takes home multiple awards/scholarships in Tennessee competition

The Marshall County High School speech team on Saturday traveled to Tennessee to compete in the Krider Invitational. The team earned the following awards:

* Tournament championship in Impromptu AND Extemp (and a student scholarship with each): Dalton York
* Second place Poetry AND 5th place Humorous Interpretation: Mary Cox
* Fifth place Storytelling: Mattie Dunn
* Second place Humorous Interpretation and fourth place Impromptu: Taylor Edwards
* Fifth place Duo Interpretation: Claire Harmon and Cameron Armstrong
* Second place Dramatic Interpretation AND sixth place Humorous Interpretation: Tessa Northcutt
* Second Place Sweepstakes (of 20 teams).
