York seeks re-election to county clerk’s office

Tim York, the incumbent Marshall County Clerk, on Thursday announced his intent to seek re-election to the seat.

York has held the county clerk’s seat since 2010 and served as Marshall County treasurer for 14 years prior to his election. York, a certified public accountant, is a graduate of South Marshall High School and Murray State University, having earned a degree in accounting. He is a Marshall County native and member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He and his wife Janna have two children and two grandchildren.

“As your county clerk, I have stressed a people-first attitude and financial responsibility in the office,” York said in his letter of intent. “I have an open door policy and am glad to talk with anyone.”
