Public response leads to charges in alleged Indian Hills burglary

Surveillance footage shows a suspect in the Indian Hills convenience store just after 2:40 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18. Public tips have led to charges in the incident.

Deputies have made an arrest in an alleged burglary at the Indian Hills convenience store in Hardin.

According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Department response to a social media post requesting tips from the public resulted in charges within a matter of hours. Deputies posted surveillance photos of an alleged burglary in progress from the station’s security cameras featuring a pickup truck and man who was later identified as 18-year-old Charles Paisley of Hardin. Paisley was charged on suspicion of third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking (under $500).

Police allege Paisley burglarized the gas station about 2:40 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18.
