Deputies arrest two in seat belt stop

Two Murray residents were arrested Friday during a routine traffic stop.

According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, at 11:37 a.m. Friday, deputies stopped a vehicle in Aurora because its occupants were not wearing seat belts. The stop resulted in further investigation, however, which yielded more.

Deputies determined the driver, Joseph Leon Davis, 44, of Murray, was allegedly under the influence. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

A passenger in the car, Carri Michelle Henson of Murray, was also charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
