
Paul Kelley Turner, 98, of Benton passed away at 5:56 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017, at his home.
Paul was a retired carpenter with Charles Story Construction and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local No. 357. He was a member of the Hamlet Baptist Church, T.L. Jefferson Masonic Lodge No. 622 and the Rizpah Shrine Temple. Paul was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife of 71 1/2 years, Betty Melton Turner of Benton; one daughter, Burneda Koenig of Almo,; one grandson, Sean McElwain of Cadiz; one son-in-law, Butch McElwain of Cadiz; one brother, Gene Turner of Dearborn, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Barbara Peck of Cleveland, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie McElwain; one son-in-law, Karl Koenig; one brother, Robert Turner; and two sisters, Mildred Henson and Nola Jane Turner. His parents were Rollie Turner and Martha Kelley Turner.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2017, at the Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Burial with military rites will follow in the Dunn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday, April 16, 2017, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
