ELLEN CAROL CLAPP, 80, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away at 10:53AM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
She had worked for the Family Service Society of Paducah and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Julie Vinson of Paducah, KY and Jenny Bonner of Lithia, FL; four sons, Dirk Clapp and his wife Erin and Billy Clapp and his wife Mary both of Calvert City, KY, Douglas Clapp and his wife Lisa of Jacksonville, NC and Donald Clapp and his wife Kim of Sharpe, KY; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Alan Pease and his wife Sue of Indiana and Kent Pease and his wife Linda of Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Owen Clapp; one son, David Clapp; one great granddaughter, Arianna Riley; her stepfather, Harold Pease; and three sisters, Martha Stephenson, Shirley Redmon and Mary Lipps. Her parents were Martin Cox and Helen Williams Cox.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory.
