Mr. Jack G. Thompson, age 88 of Benton, KY died on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY. He was a former Deputy Jailer at the Marshall County Detention Center in Benton, KY. and was also a life long Farmer in Marshall County.
Born Thursday, November 1, 1928, he was the son of the late John M. Thompson and the late Evelyn (Gibson) Thompson.
Surviving are three daughters, Laurie Ford of Benton, KY, Jackie Marlin of Greenwood, IN and Ann Skillman of Greenwood, IN, sister, Daphina McGregor of Benton, KY; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years, Patricia A. (Jones) Thompson, brother, Bill Thompson, and sister, Lourelle Cole.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feburary, 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Febuary, 24, 2017 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY.
