Ben Frazier ObitBEN FRAZIER, 91, of Gilbertsville, KY.

Mr. Ben Frazier passed away at 9:50PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Benton. Mr. Frazier served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a self-employed building contractor and brick mason. As a lifelong angler, Ben wanted to help ensure that our nation’s youth had the same opportunities to fish that his family enjoyed. The FLW Foundation connects America’s youth to their natural resources and promotes education, conservation and an active lifestyle.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jana Frazier Gollo and husband Chuck of Gilbertsville, KY and Sally Frazier Roof and husband David of Paducah, KY; one son, Kerry Frazier of Gilbertsville, KY; three grandchildren, Leann Roof McDonald and husband Patrick of Cincinnati, OH; Angela Roof Schuman and husband Brett of Casper, WY and Derek Roof of Nashville, TN; one great grandchild, Link McDonald; many nieces and many nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Holland Frazier; one brother, W.C. “Dub” Frazier one sister, Anna Mary Frazier Cole. His parents were Prentice Arthur Frazier Sr. and Jenny Lee Razor Frazier.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Kristi Stuckel and David Roos officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 4:00PM Friday, January 20, 2017 at the First Christian Church with masonic rites will be held at 7:00PM Friday, January 20, 2017 at the First Christian Church. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Memorial contributions are encouraged in lieu of flowers to the FLW Foundation, Attn: Dave Washburn, 30 Gamble Lane, Benton, KY 42025 Donations to the 501c3 FLW Foundation in Ben’s honor will support youth fishing recruitment, retention and reactivation programs through Unified Fishing Derbies, “Get Outdoors. Go Fish!” school visits by professional anglers and High School Fishing grants.
