Mrs. Arzetta Walls Armstrong, age 80 of Calvert City, KY passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was a homemaker and member of Calvert City United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 33 years. She was active in the former Lakeland Parish in various capacities, member of the United Methodist Women, and was active in missions, including several mission trips. She owned a daycare for 6 years, and was also a member of the Calvert City Country Club Ladies Golf Association. Born Wednesday, January 29, 1936, her parents were the late John Walls and the late Lillie (Pollard) Walls. Surviving are daughters, Kay Lambert, husband Matt of Smithland, KY, Brenda Newman of Calvert City, KY and Judy Hart, husband Mike of Boquete, Panama, brother, Mac Walls of Grand Rivers, KY, sisters, Christine Whitmore of Dawson Springs, KY and Genella Green of Dawson Springs, KY; 4 grandchildren, David Lambert, Jennifer Hart, husband Paul Schauert, Jason Hart, wife Kelly, Sean Newman; and 1 great-grandchild, Mia Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, David Dennis Armstrong, brothers, Arthur Walls and William Walls, and sister, Beulah Hicks. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Calvert City United Methodist Church, 571 Oak Park Blvd, Calvert City, KY 42029 with the Rev. Gregory Waldrop officiating. Interment will follow in Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY. Visitation will be held after 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Calvert City United Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
