Cynthia Marie Shemwell, age 49, of Benton, KY, died Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was a member of the Holly Hills Church of Christ, Frankfort, KY. She was retired from the Department for Aging and Independent Living.
She is survived by her parents W.W. Shemwell Jr. and Mary Ellen Shemwell of Benton, KY: one brother: Woodie Shemwell of Benton, KY: and two nieces of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents W.W. Shemwell Sr. and Era Cook Shemwell of Benton, KY and George Harmon and Iva Tapp Harmon of Paducah, KY.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday, August 8, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 8, 2016 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY with Pete Gunn III officiating.
