Mrs. Freeda Ruth Lindsey, age 89, of Benton, KY died on Friday, July 29, 2016, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Born Monday, September 27, 1926 in Calvert City, KY, she was a homemaker and a member of Maple Hill Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her sons, Ernie Lindsey and wife Carol of Benton, KY and Daryl Lindsey and wife Debbie of Benton, KY; 5 grandchildren, Terry Lindsey, Jimmy Lindsey, Kathy Coluett and husband Mike, James Lindsey and wife Alisha and Becky McArtor and husband Ian; 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lindsay was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Lindsey and 4 great-great-grandsons. Her parents were the late Elyiah and Annie (Angle) Norvell.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday August 1, 2016 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home with David Lemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Sunday July 31, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street, Benton, KY.
