On Saturday, June 11 at 4:00 pm, a memorial to the late Cuba basketball legend and 1952 KHSAA Basketball Champion Doodle Floyd will take place at Lowry’s Farm, Inc.
Lowry’s is located on Highway 94 West in Pilot Oak, just past Red’s Barbecue in Graves County.
A meal will be catered by Red’s Barbecue and available for $12 per person.
A Devotional will be given, and teammates of Doodle Floyd, people in the Pilot Oak and Cuba communities, and ‘Sports Legends’ will be given an opportunity to share stories about their memories of Doodle Floyd.
A brief explanation will be given about how Doodle contributed to the Legends gathering for the first time in 2011.
Names of other Legends who have died since the 2011 meeting will be given and a brief description will be made of their contributions.
