‘The South’s Great Lake Fair & Tater Day Festival’ kicks off tomorrow and here is a rundown of the events.
The Kiwanis will sponsor the carnival rides in the park Thursday through Monday, as well as the April 4 Tater Day Parade.
Tomorrow night there will be a concert at the park featuring Deja Blues Band and Nite Shift. The concert will start at 6:00 pm, with a $5 entry fee.
Friday will see enduro and warrior car races at the grandstand. Admission is $10 for the event starting at 7:00 pm; $15 pit gate.
Saturday includes the ATV/UTV/Jeep obstacle course, starting at 7:00 pm; entry fee is $10, or $15 for pit gate.
Saturday morning, the 31st Tater Trot will take place at the Marshall County High School track. Registration starts at 7:45 pm for the 5K run at 9:00 am, then the 1-mile fun run or walk at 9:30 pm.
Sunday, the Mudd Boggs at starts at 2:00 pm, with a $10 admission.
Tater Day holds to its long traditions on Monday, April 4, starting with the Benton Lion’s Club pancake breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 am at Benton Elementary School. Tickets are $4 per person.
The Tater Day parade will go off at 11:00 am, with this year’s theme being ‘Remember our Troops.’
