Average retail gasoline prices in Kentucky have risen 1.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.99 a gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy.
This compares with the national average that has increased 5.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.04 a gallon.
Including the change in gas prices in Kentucky during the past week, prices yesterday were 39.7 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 31.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased 29.5 cents per gallon during the last month and
stands 38.7 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
In the Lakes Area, prices are ranging from $1.78 to $1.99 a gallon, about where they were last week.
According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on March 28 in Kentucky have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.39/g in 2015, $3.56/g in 2014, $3.60/g in 2013, $3.88/g in 2012 and $3.58/g in 2011.
