Mrs. Sue (Jones) Outland, age 91, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Passion and Purpose in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Outland was born on November 21, 1933, in Murray, Kentucky, to the late Luther Jones and Dola Mae Jackson Jones. Sue served as Calloway County Treasurer for 32 years and was a member of the Scott’s Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thomas Outland; sisters, Dorthea Carraway and Laydeen Paschall; brother, Doris Jones.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Brinkley and husband John of Magnolia, Texas; four nieces, Anita Gallimore of Murray, Kentucky, Debbie Robbins of Gleason, Tennessee, Janice Norsworthy and husband Larry and Therese Shemwell and husband Ronnie all of Murray, Kentucky; cousin, Faye Jones of Carrolton, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services. John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
