A Benton woman was injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened about 4:30 pm on Scale Road.
They say 22-year-old Andrew R. Lovett was driving west when his vehicle crossed the center line.
When he saw an eastbound vehicle driven by 63-year-old Janice K. Elliott of Benton, he could not avoid a collision.
Deputies said Lovett’s vehicle hit Elliott’s in the side, causing it to spin out of control.
Elliott was taken to Marshall County Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
