Land Between the Lakes, KY – The Friends of Land Between the Lakes invites you to Kids Adventure Weekend at the Woodlands Nature Station during Labor Day Weekend, August 31 – September 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This kid-friendly foray will introduce essential outdoor and camping skills. Visitors will learn new ways to enjoy the outdoors including creating their own animal track guide, knot-tying, and how to use a compass. As part of the weekend we will also be offering a guided kayak trips on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The tour will explore the nooks and crannies of Energy Lake while looking for wildlife including eagles and beavers.
