From Marshall County Rescue Squad
Marshall County Rescue Squad was paged out at 6:06 PM Sunday for mutual aid assistance from Livingston County on report of two individuals jumping from barge entering water and only one coming back to surface. Boats were deployed from Kentucky Dam Marina. Upon deployment we were able to locate individual on sonar and deployed two divers from Marshall County Rescue Squad in the water. One on surface for assistance and Chief Kenny Pratt for recovery.
Thank you to Lighthouse Landing for the use of facilities for our divers. Agencies responding East Marshall Fire Protection District Gilbertsville Volunteer Fire Department South Marshall Fire Department Ky Dept of Fish & Wildlife – Marshall County Emergency Management.
After recovery the individual was turned over to the Livingston County Coroner’s Office to proceed accordingly.
