
LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
- On Monday, June 17, 2024, around 11:55pm, Deputy David Carroll responded to a Kuttawa motel for an accident. His investigation revealed a 2023 Ford Econoline U-Haul truck driven by Alexandra E. Sager (30) of Manhattan, KS pulled up to the front of the motel and the vehicle collided with the overhead awning resulting in damage. There were no injuries reported in the collision.
- On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, beginning around 1:15pm and continuing after 2:30pm, Sheriff’s Deputies charged the following offenders on arrest warrants:
- Paul M. Isaacs (41) of Richmond on a Madison District Court bench warrant for failure to appear.
- Lacie Duchemin (42) of Middlesboro on four (4) Bell Circuit Court bench warrants for Contempt of Court.
- On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, around 7:21am, the Kentucky State Police received a request for a welfare check on an adult female and her 10-year-old daughter at a Kuttawa motel. Sheriff Brent White and Eddyville PD Chief Jordan Parrish responded and located a male subject in the parking lot who was identified as a person in the accompaniment of the adult female and her daughter. This person was identified as Timothy S. McClanahan (60) of Grants Pass, Oregon. The adult female and child were located at a motel room. The investigation revealed the subjects had resided in Kuttawa for the previous eight (8) days. The adult female who was from Kansas, had apparently met McClanahan in an online social media application and thereafter convinced her and her daughter to go on a cross-country trip with him. McClanahan was discovered to be an Oregon non-compliant registered sex offender with an extensive criminal history in five states. He was also the subject of two out-of-state warrants. He was arrested by Sheriff White and charged with Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry-2nd or greater offense. The adult female and her child were reunited with their family members. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services assisted the Sheriff’s Office with this investigation.
- On Wednesday, June 19, 2024 around 2:20pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams and Kentucky State Police Troopers responded to a residence on Center Ridge Road for a disturbance complaint. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher M. Thomas (32) of Eddyville. He was charged with one count of Assault-4th Thomas was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Thursday, June 20, 2024 around 4:50pm, Deputy David Carroll and Sheriff Brent White responded to a two-vehicle injury collision on US 641 approximately five miles North of Eddyville. The investigation revealed a 2015 Toyota Camry, driven by Gidor Pochette (36) of Orlando, FL was South on US 641 and a 2015 Chevrolet Travers, driven by Tracy Woodall (75) of Fredonia was North on US 641.
The Pochette vehicle attempted to turn into a driveway at the solar farm construction site when the driver failed to yield the right of way to the Woodall vehicle causing an angled collision which resulted in the Woodall vehicle leaving the roadway on the East shoulder and coming to rest in a rock ditch and the Pochette vehicle leaving the roadway on the West shoulder and coming to rest in a field. Pochette was transported to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah by ambulance for his injuries. He was not restrained at the time of the collision. Pochette was charged by Deputy Carroll with No Insurance.
The occupants of the Woodall vehicle declined EMS transport at the scene. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Caldwell County EMS, Eddyville Fire Department, Eddyville Police Department, Fredonia Fire Department, Lyon County EMS, and the KY Department of Highways.
- On Friday, June 21, 2024, around 8:47pm, Deputy David Carroll responded to a single vehicle collision on KY 93 South near the intersection with KY 730. His investigation revealed a 2014 Toyota Sienna driven by Timothy Yoder (24) of Lamasco was traveling South on KY 93 when a deer entered the roadway resulting in a collision. The vehicle received significant damage resulting in a wrecker being summoned to remove it. There were no injuries to Mr. Yoder nor his passengers.
- On Sunday, June 23, 2024, around 10:29am, Sheriff Brent White was dispatched to a disturbance at a Kuttawa motel. Upon his arrival, five of the individuals involved in the initial dispute had fled the scene. Sheriff White departed the scene and located them on US 62. Following a traffic stop, Gustavo Munoz-Carmona (38) of Sebree was arrested and charged with the following offenses: Expired KY Registration Plates, Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Required Insurance-1st Offense, No Seat Belts in Use, Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, and DUI-1st Munoz-Carmona was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
