On May 21, 2024, Deputy Hartman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after witnessing moving violations.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Joe Nathan Carter of Paducah, KY, was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to appear as required by the court, which stemmed from a 2023 indictment for drug charges.
After being taken into custody, Mr. Carter was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine.
Mr. Carter was lodged in McCracken County Regional Jail, and charged with the traffic offenses, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was served with the outstanding warrant.
