Lucille Leidecker Laird, 93, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 2:28 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at her residence. She was born in McCracken County, Kentucky on April 25, 1931 to the late John and Thelma Lawrence Leidecker. Lucille was retired from Baptist Health Paducah as Health Unit Coordinator and previously worked for Magnavox until their closing. She was a lifetime member of Bellview Baptist Church. Lucille was a member of the Corvette Club with her late husband, Freddy, and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxillary for 20 plus years. She enjoyed traveling, camping and boating.
Lucille is survived by her two daughters, Janice Mathis and husband, Larry of Smithland, Kentucky and Kathy Powell of Paducah, Kentucky; step-son, Kelly Ray Laird and wife, Michelle of Bardwell, Kentucky; brother, Albert Leidecker and wife, Shirley of Paducah, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Heather Michelle Council of Paducah, Kentucky, Tammy Renee Mathis, Decatur, Alabama, Nathanael Laird and wife, Darla of Arlington, Kentucky and Jason Crittendon of Mt. Grove, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Chelsey Nicole Council, Trevin Crittendon, Jayce Crittendon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Freddy Ray Laird and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Larry Davidson and Dr. Bob Whitter officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
