Ms. Molly Holt York, age 53, of Benton, formerly of Mayfield, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at her residence.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid softball player and fisherwoman. She also excelled in playing board games, cards, frisbee, cornhole, ping pong and any games she attempted. Ms. York loved flowers. Ms. York was a graduate of Northside Baptist Christian School in Mayfield, KY. She also attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY and WKCTC in Paducah, KY. She was a retired regional manager with Modern Woodmen of America.
Ms. York is survived by her parents, Ralph and Patty Alene Havener Holt; one daughter, Caitlyn Havener (Amber) York-Mason of Benton, KY; one son, David “Kyle” (Sarah) York of Benton, KY; two sisters, Julie Holt Moore of Murfreesboro, TN and Diane Emerine of Calvert City, KY; one brother, Joel “Joey” (Sarah) Holt of Murfreesboro, TN; ten niblings, Eric, Abe, Ashley, Anne Katherine, Derek, Allie, Ethan, Luke, Alaina and Abigail; and fourteen great niblings.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buford and Glenn Holt; brother-in-law, Kenny Moore; and one aunt, Peggy Robey.
Memorial services for Ms. Molly Holt York will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Bro. Monty Hodges will officiate.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
