He was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and a self-employed trucker.
Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife, Suzie Wheeler; one son, Daniel Alan (Marisa) Wheeler of Mayfield, KY; four daughters, Carissa Morris, Jeminah Jo Brindley, Tessa (Tim) Sullivan and Chelsea Wheeler all of Mayfield, KY; fourteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddy Ray and Sara Belle Griffith Wheeler.
Graveside services for Mr. Karl “Stretch” Wheeler will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Trace Creek Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. and Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Wheeler, Tim Sullivan, Kylan Wheeler, Henry Allen, Mike Darnell and Timmie Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Redd, Tasis Karayiannis and James Burgess.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
