Calvert City, KY (February 12, 2024) – On February 09, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department was called to the Family Dollar in reference to an individual who had shoplifted, but was no longer on scene. The store had video of the suspected individual who had taken a cell phone tri-pod and a torch lighter valued at a total amount of $8.48. With help from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office the Calvert City Police Department was able to make contact with the suspect. Steven Dale Gipson, 46, of 1125 Village Road, Apt. #218, Benton was issued a citation with the charge of theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting and given court date.
On February 11, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department made contact with a subject who was known to have a warrant at the Amerivu Inn. Christopher Lynn Fowler, 39, of 849 Tiline Road, Smithland was arrested on a Graves County Warrant for failure to appear.
