DOUG MATHIS, 76, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away at 5:35AM Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Mr. Mathis attended Aurora Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Steve Mathis and his wife Erin of Benton, KY; two grandchildren, Miranda Mathis and Owen Mathis; one sister, Myrtle Wyatt of Murray, KY and ex-wife and friend, Ann Morrison Mathis of Benton, KY.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Goheen and Georgia Causey; and two brothers, James Mathis and Thomas Mathis. His parents were Ruben Mathis and Elta Cathy Mathis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Lewis and Rev. Kim Morrison will officiate and burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
