Judith Ann Walker Mathis, 78 of Benton, KY passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Lakeway Nursing and Rehab.
Born Saturday, August 18, 1945 in Murray, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lowell Edgar Walker and the late Zula Mae (Lovett) Walker. She was the wife of the late Tommy Mathis.
She was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School and Bible School. Judith kept the books and worked with her husband at Mathis Used Cars and was also an active member of the Aurora Homemakers.
She is survived by her brothers, Ronnie Walker of Murray, KY, Billy Walker of Murray, KY; sister, Sue Rose of Murray, KY; sisters in law, Rose Walker of Murray, KY, Janette Walker of Murray, KY, Debbie Walker of Murray, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Tommy Mathis; her parents, Lowell and Zula (Lovett) Walker; brothers, Gerald Walker, Joe Walker; sister in law, Wanda Walker; and brother in law, James Rose.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Brad Walker and Rev. Darrell Walker officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Collier Funeral Home.
