Carel Joe Tucker passed away on December 24, 2023 at the age of 85. He was a native of Ward, West Virginia and a current resident of St. Gabriel, Louisiana. He was the loving husband of Joan Meadows and his former wife the late Janice T. Tucker. He was the caring father of Angela Peeler (the late Lee), Joseph Tucker (Julie), Carl Lee Meadows (Gwen), Debbie Laplace (Tim) and Angela Whitaker (Mika). He also leaves behind to carry on his legacy a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Masons and the Shriners. Joe was an avid sports fan, in his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He was a true family man, always caring for other needs and wants. His favorite past time was doing whatever those he loved enjoyed doing. He was a gentle soul and loving man.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737 on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 3PM-5PM.
Joe will be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Marshall County Memory Garden in Benton, Kentucky.
