John “J.D.” Frederick, age 66, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Born December 14, 1957, in Monahans, Texas, he was the son of the late John D. Frederick and the late Vivian Hill McGowan.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam era. After his discharge he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Martin Marietta in Kansas. J.D. had a magnetic personality. He enjoyed being around people and loved to laugh and have a good time with his friends. Hunting and fishing were some of his favorite past times, as well as listening to music.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his step father, John McGowan, and two sisters, Sandy and Judy.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tina Gentry Frederick of Cadiz; three daughters, Sarah Wilson of Evansville, IN, Jennifer Wilson of Newburgh, IN, and Stacey Eggleston of Cadiz; eight grandchildren, Jamie Kassinger, Brianna Cunningham, Morgan Kassinger, Caleb Kassinger, Macy Gregory, Jaxson Alstatt, and twins Avery Boylls and Ethan Boylls; and two great grandchildren, Brylin Kassinger and Emberlyn Cunningham.
Entombment will take place at a later date in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
