William “Rusty” Johnson, Jr., 70, of Benton, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
Rusty was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 9, 1953 to the late William Johnson Sr. and Betty Sue Williams Johnson. He worked as an operator for the Local 181 and was of the Baptist Faith. Rusty was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a talented woodworker and enjoyed automotive bodywork.
Rusty is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Brewer Johnson; one daughter, Melissa Riley (Jeremy) of Benton; one son, William Johnson III (Charity) of Benton; one sister, Tina Johnson of Benton; one brother, Dale Johnson of Benton; and two grandchildren, Emily Johnson and Mason Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marshall Johnson.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Bethel Cemetery in Gilbertsville with Rev. Dr. John Purdue officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
