Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Report

  1. On Sunday, November 26, 2023, around 6:35pm, Deputy David Carroll responded to a single vehicle collision on I-24 at the I-69 interchange. The investigation revealed Rose M. Craig (20) of Hartford was South bound on I-69 when she lost control of her vehicle on the ramp to I-24 and collided with a guardrail. The vehicle sustained significant damage; however, there were no injuries reported.
  1. On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, around 6:35am, Sheriff Brent White responded to a single vehicle collision on US 641 approximately 2 miles North of Eddyville. The investigation revealed a 2007 Ford Focus driven by Michael C. Bealmear (33) of Fredonia was South bound when a deer entered the roadway and resulted in a collision which rendered the vehicle inoperable. There were no injuries reported.
  1. On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, around 11:35am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a single vehicle collision on KY 293 approximately 5 miles Southeast of Eddyville. The investigation revealed a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Theresa M. Griffith (67) of Eddyville, collided with a deer Northeast of Saratoga. The vehicle was rendered inoperable; however, there were no injuries reported.
  1. On Thursday, November 30, 2023, around 6pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on US 62 near Suwanee. The investigation revealed a 2006 Ford Freestyle driven by Audrey Kennedy (17) of Kuttawa was West bound when a deer entered the roadway and resulted in a collision. The vehicle sustained significant damage; however, no injuries were reported.
  1. On Friday, December 1, 2023, around 6am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a single vehicle collision on KY 810 South. The investigation revealed a 2019 Ford F550 utility vehicle was North bound on KY 810 South when it lost control and collided with a mailbox, guardrail, and highway sign. The driver was identified as Joshua D. Seay (27) of Kuttawa. He was not injured in the collision.
  1. On Friday, December 1, 2023, around 2:30pm, Sheriff Brent White stopped a 2006 Cadillac Deville on Walnut Drive in Kuttawa. The operator, Raymond E. Deason (75) of Eddyville was charged with Operating on a Suspended License and Possessing License when Privileges are Revoked.

On Sunday, December 3, 2023, around 10am, Sheriff Brent White responded to a two-vehicle collision on US 62 West at the intersection of Bar-X Lane in Suwanee.The investigation revealed a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Greyson D. Garrett (19) of Gilbertsville was East bound on US 62. A 2020 Ford F150 driven by Brian K. McKinney (56) of Marion was also East bound but stopped in traffic for a vehicle waiting to turn onto Bar-X Lane. Garrett, who was behind McKinney, failed to stop his vehicle in time and collided with the rear of McKinney’s pickup truck. All occupants in both vehicles complained of minor pain or injuries which did not require ambulance transport.Garrett was determined to be under the influence of intoxicating substances. He was arrested by Sheriff White and charged with DUI-1st Offense, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance/Security-1st Offense, and Possession of Marijuana. Garrett was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center. Sheriff White was assisted by an off-duty Eddyville Police Officer and the Kuttawa Fire Department.
  1. On Monday, December 4, 2023, around 1pm, Sheriff Brent White arrested Daven G. Ward (27) of Eddyville and charged him with two bench warrants: one from Lyon Circuit Court for felony probation violation and one from Muhlenberg Circuit Court for Contempt of Court. Ward was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
  1. On Monday, December 4, 2023, around 8:20pm, Deputy David Carroll located and arrested Savannah M. Wittmer (32) on Green Road. She was served with a Parole Violation Warrant charging her with Absconding Parole Supervision, Failure to Report to Parole Officer as Directed, and Failure to Comply with a Treatment Program for Substance Abuse. In addition, Wittmer was charged with two Lyon District Court bench warrants for Contempt of Court for Failure to Pay Child Support. Wittmer was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center. Deputy Carroll was assisted by Officer Josh Travis of the Eddyville Police Department.
