Lady Marshals earn Hoopfest sweep with 46-29 win over Green Hill

The Lady Marshals improved to 3-0 after their first week of the season with Saturday’s 46-29 Hoopfest win over Green Hill from Mt. Juliet, Tenn. The Lady Hawks advanced to the Tennessee Class 4A State Girls’ Basketball Tournament final four under former Lady Marshals head coach Joseph Simmons in his first season at Green Hill.

Kenzlee Terry led the Lady Marshals in scoring with 14 points which earned the freshman MVP honors. Chevelle Henson was also in double-figures with 13 points.

Leading by three points at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Marshals extended it to nine points at halftime at 25-14. They led 37-22 at the end of the third quarter on their way to the 17 point win.

The Lady Marshals will play Graves County at home on Friday in a double-header with the Marshals that gets underway at 6:00.
