Deborah Rae Parker, age 65 of Kirksey, KY died on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at
Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, TN. She was a member of Hickory Grove Church
of Christ and was retired from Webasto where she worked in the factory. Mrs. Parker
also worked for the Sager Glove Company and Jakel Corporation where she worked in
the factory.
Born Wednesday, December 13, 1950 in Murray, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the
late Robert Moody and the late Samantha Berlene (Starks) Lowery.
Surviving are step-mother, Ella Moody of Murray, KY; sons, Christopher Drew Parker
of Benton, KY and Justin Ryan Parker, wife Sarah of Almo, KY, daughter, Jennifer
Rene Thweatt, husband Brian of Benton, KY, brother, Cullen Moody of Murray, KY; and
grandchildren, Amber Parker, Shelby Parker, Lane Parker, Olivia Thweatt, Lauren
Parker, Julie Parker, Amelia Thweatt, and Emily Wade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, James Russell Lowery;
husband, John Alvin Parker; daughter, Johnna Rae Parker, brother, James Anthony
Lowery, and sister, Cynthia Lowery.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Collier
Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Richard
Burkeen officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Kirksey, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
February 3, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
