Marshall County finished third at Tuesday’s State First Round tournament at Calvert City County Club and will advance to the State Championships October 6-7 at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Marshals finished +18 with a team score of 306. McCracken County took first at +10 with a score of 298 and Greenwood in second place with a score of 299 at +11.
DJ Morris led the Marshals with a 1-over 73 and tied for fourth followed by Ryan Stokes at 2-over 74 and tied for sixth. Paxton Carter shot 77, Andy Jones 82 and Nolan Hurst 98.
Jacob Lang from Greenwood took first with a 4-under par 68.
