On July 18, 2023 just after midnight Deputies were dispatched to an address on Southern
Komfort Rd in reference to a burglary and assault. When Deputies arrived they received
information that an assault had already taken place and that the suspects left with a possible
victim. Deputies were eventually able to locate the suspects identified below. As a result of the
Deputies investigation the two suspects were arrested and charged with the following:
The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are likely
Joshua Lawrence, age 40, of Smyrna, TN
● Burglary 1st degree
● Kidnapping-Adult
● Unlawful Imprisonment 1st degree
● Assault 4th degree (minor injury)
● Sexual Abuse 1st degree
● Terroristic Threatening
