
Elizabeth Cope Riddle, age 57, of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Elizabeth was born on May 27, 1966 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Jerry Don Cope and Edwina “Edie” Carter Witte. The outdoors was Elizabeth’s favorite place to be, whether it be swimming, tending to her flowers, camping, feeling the sand between her toes on the beach or just sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. Elizabeth loved her grandchildren so much and they were a huge part of her life. Anytime they were together she was in the floor playing with toys and always knew how to have fun. She was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church.
Elizabeth was such a strong woman and overcame many obstacles in her life. She is a recovered alcoholic and was sober for the last 12 years. She relied on her faith in God to see her through the trials she faced in life.
Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Krystina “Kryssi” Dunn (Derek) of Bowling Green, Anna Davis (Clay) of Gilbertsville; her mother, Edwina “Edie” Witte of Paducah, four sisters, Laura Ann Cope Hibbs (Roger) of Benton, Nina Harding (Bill) of Orlando, Florida, Kim Carmen of Merritt Island, Florida, Ellen Aldridge of Midland, Texas; four brothers, David Cope (Laura) of Benton, Matthew Witte of San Diego, California, Charlie Witte (Jennifer) of Midland, Texas, David Witte (Angela) of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Malia Dunn, Rachel Davis, Maverick Davis, along with a granddaughter on the way and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Don Cope; step-father, Earl Witte; grandchildren, Sonny Davis and Callum Davis.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Jason Medley and Bro. Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rosebower Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
