Ilene Oliver, 77, of Smithland, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June, 27, 2023 at her home.
Ilene was born to the late David Koon and Macie Boone Koon on July 13, 1945 in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. Ilene was a stay at home mom and enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed going around to all of the yard sales and collecting lots of trinkets along with other items. She also enjoyed watching wrestling and at times you could even catch her cheering and shouting at her favorite wrestler on TV. More than anything else Ilene loved spending time being surrounded by her family any chance she could. Ilene was of the Baptist faith and earlier in her life was a long time member of Lake City Baptist Church.
Ilene is survived by two daughters, Macie Skinner (Darrell) and Stacie Oliver, both of Grand Rivers, Kentucky; one son, Dale Oliver of Smithland, Kentucky; one sister, Marlene Jones (Tony) of Athens, Alabama; four grandchildren, Serena Coleman, Haley Wommack, Hannah Oliver, and Hallie Oliver; three great grandchildren, Eli Coleman, Kenzie Collins, Angel Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray oliver; one son, Harvey Oliver; three sisters, Eshter Anderson, Anna Campbell, and Charlene Hammons; two brothers, Earl Koon and Leon Koon; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Willie Stamps officiating. Burial will follow at Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
