Saturday at Land Between the Lakes, 100 riders from across the state took part in the Bluegrass Mountain Cup – White Lightning mountain bike race on the Canal Loop Trail. The Bluegrass Mountain Cup is an MTB XC series of seven races across the Bluegrass State.
The first race of the series took place in March at Ft. Duffield in West Point, Ky. Race two of the series was held at Green River Lake in Campbellsville followed by Saturday’s White Lightning at LBL. Four more races in the series will take place June 25 at Perry County Park (Hazard), August 19 at Capitol View Park (Frankfort), September 16 at Pulaski County Park (Nancy) and October 28-29 at Sugarcamp Mountain (Prestonsburg).
